Hold On - Original Painting
“for we walk by faith, not by sight.”
2 Corinthians 5:7
Sometimes the world gets really loud. Whether it’s stress, technology, social media, or mental illness, some things distract us from seeing what’s really important. Like a VR headset, these things grow so distracting and debilitating that it’s hard to really see the way forward. The only way to truly stay grounded is to find something or someone who can be our eyes, and help guide us when life gets crazy.
For me, that person is Jesus Christ. It’s not always easy to see Him, but I’ve found that when I slow down and really listen I can always find Him with me, supporting me and comforting me. Even if all I see is chaos and all I hear is anxiety, I find myself picturing His hand in mine as I walk by faith, not by sight. Trusting there will be a time when the blindfold comes off and I can see clearly again.
